Pusha T actually wrote the “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle for McDonald’s!!

Over a decade ago McDonald’s started using a new jingle sung by Justin Timberlake called “I’m lovin’ it,” and even used the title of the track as their new tagline/slogan in commercials and other advertisements. For the longest time people only associated the song Timberlake (because he sings it) and Pharrell Williams (because he produced it with the Neptunes), but did you know that it was a rapper who wrote it?

Steve Stoute revealed during a recent interview with Hot 97’s Ebro during Ebro In The Morning radio show, that Pusha T was the one who actually wrote the song. While talking about his marketing and publishing company Translation, Stoute explained that their first major deal was the McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” campaign, and corrected Ebro’s assumption that Pharrell was the one who wrote the song.

You know who did that… Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonald’s… it was Pusha, yeah.

Pusha’s probably still making big money off of that track to this day! Check out the jingle below and check out Pusha’s rap verse in this version!
